Building on this foundation, the core counseling courses help students develop the identity of a counselor, possessing knowledge and skills regarding various counseling theories and the ability to utilize them in a variety of settings.

Requirements for Licensure
Graduation from the MACO program fulfills the education requirements for licensure in the state of 密苏里州 by the 密苏里州 Committee for Professional Counselors. Individual state licensure requirements may vary. Students are responsible for verifying and completing licensure requirements for the state in which they reside. The coursework aligns with CACREP 标准, however the program is not currently accredited by CACREP.
